This application pulls realtime data from Twitter, searching for symptoms of common diseases. Based on this information, the application constructs heat map and graph visualizations to display locations of these diseases worldwide. A file located at $APP_HOME/README.txt provides instructions for how to get this application running on a user's own computer. We were a team of four interns and this was our submission for the Splunk4Good Intern app contest, which is officially due on Wednesday, August 12.
