Which Name Is Displayed on Splunk Certificates , Pearson VUE or Splunk Account?

Hi everyone,

I’m scheduled to take a Splunk certification exam through Pearson VUE, and I have a quick question about how the name appears on the final certificate.

My Pearson VUE account has my correct legal name, matching my government-issued ID.However, my Splunk.com account displays my last name incorrectly (due to an autocomplete feature i had enabled during my registration to splunk account....)

Before I proceed, I’d like to clarify:

Which name is actually printed on the certification , the name from Pearson VUE, or the name from my Splunk account profile?

If it’s based on the Splunk account, what’s the correct process to update the name before or after the exam?

Has anyone had a mismatch between the two and successfully resolved it?

I’ve contacted certification@splunk.com just in case, but I’d really appreciate input from others who have been through the process.

Thanks in advance for your help !

Athanasios

Hi @AthanasiosOikon

The certs in my account match the account name in Splunk and were issues via Splunk, not from Pearson Vue.

Hopefully the team at certification@splunk.com will be able to sort you. You should also get an email to link your certification to Credly to use as proof of your certification if required.
