Hi, I want to order the Splunk Fundamentals 1 and 2 Instructor-on-Demand courses. When does the 30 days begin? Once the order goes through or from when you begin the course?

You are wasting money getting an instructor for F1 and probably for F2, too. Take the free/cheaper eTraining. It is EXCELLENT. Save your money/credits for the instructor-only classes.

The 30 days start after you begin the course.

Splunk Fundamentals 1 course is free and you have 30 days to complete it once you register and begin the course work.
Same applies after purchasing Splunk Fundamentals 2.

Thanks for the quick response David. TO clarify, the Splunk Fundamentals 1 appears to have a free version and also an IOD version. Is the content the same ?

IOD is good if you're completely new to Splunk and need some guidance along the way. But if you're just doing it to complete the training and unlock other levels then you can go for the e-learning one and do it at your own pace.
