Observability Tracks at Splunk University | Look no further than .conf25

It’s like when you’re driving with a fogged up windshield and you can’t see all the signs clearly. That’s what it’s like when you don’t have visibility into all your data. Splunk University (Sept 6–8) is here to help improve your view with four observability tracks to give you greater visibility into your logs, metrics, traces, and events. From mastering OpenTelemetry to owning ITSI like a boss (analyst or admin), these 2- and 3-day, hands-on courses give you a clearer lens into faster resolutions, slicker investigations, and real-time insights. Seats? Still available. Excuses? Not necessary. Fun? Always to be had at Splunk.

Brains, bytes, and Boston | Interactive workshops from your friends in Splunk Education
Sure, Boston’s got cobblestones, chowdah, and championship rings, but this September, it’s all about you getting hands-on with Splunk. At .conf25, our interactive workshops are designed to help you connect with Splunk and our Splunk Education rockstar instructors. These experienced trainers will guide you through real-world scenarios like tracking AWS data exfiltration, decoding detections in ES 8.0, unleashing machine learning on risk-based alerting, and building no-code SOAR playbooks. These aren’t just demos, they’re do-it-yourself, ask-all-your-questions, leave-with-new-skills sessions. Come curious and leave content.

MCP | Your AI’s new superpower

Umm, although it sounds hip, MCP does not stand for Main Character Playlist. It means Model Context Protocol (MCP) and the Lantern team pushed out another helpful blog post on how Splunk’s MCP is upping AI strength in IT operations and security investigations. And we’re not talking about just incremental tweaks. Think beyond “pattern matching” to “problem solving.” Take a look at the latest articles to get hands-on setup guidance and real-world examples to put MCP into action. Oh, and you can learn more about the Lantern team at .conf25 and they may or may not be giving out THE BEST swag.
