is it possible to get connected to a mysql express remote database throught this apps ?

if the db you are interested in connecting to has a JDBC driver, it will probably work.

of particular interest: Note: At a minimum, Splunk DB Connect supports querying custom-defined database connections. For some custom database connections, features related to generation of queries may not work. Additionally, depending on the JDBC driver's implementation of database-metadata, the custom dbinfo search command may not work.

so your mysterious Mysql express is not listed, but MYSQL and MSSQL are.
