What is a trailing Z in a time stamp?

We are a bit confused about the tailing Z in the following time stamp 2019-03-18T10:36:33.178Z.

The following thread seems to refer to it as well -
New Time Format has Z on the end. Did you mean %Z for timezone recognition??

The SE said -

Means it's Zulu time (UTC time with no offset) as defined by ISO 8601.
