Timed out waiting for peer xxx.xxx.com

Hello,

I am getting the following errors in my search head while loading a dashboard which includes the saved seaches :

"Timed out waiting for peer xxx.xxx.com. If this occurs frequently, receiveTimeout in distsearch.conf may need to be increased. Search results might be incomplete!"

Please let me know what can be done to minimize this error.

Hi abhayneilam,

in regards of Splunk you can increase the receiveTimeout in distsearch.conf and/or limit the size of your knowledge bundles.

In regards of your Server/Hardware/Network check the network usage and if the server running the indexer is running on heavy load.
