I'm not able to edit this file due to permissions; anyone know if you require a chmod on the file to write the changes?

/opt/splunkforwarder/etc/system/default/limits.conf" File is read only

Authority is necessary, but please do not change the default setting file. It will be overwritten when updating Splunk.
※The same applies to other default folders.

To change the setting, create a new setting file in the local folder and do it.
