Searches for a specific host are not recorded in "SEARCH HISTORY"

I am new to SPLUNK learning with the Enterprise Edition. I created a new host with JSON source type. When I search something using host="my_new_host", none of my searches are saved in the "SEARCH HISTORY".

This only occurs for that host, the other hosts searches are recorded

Any assistance is greatly appreciated
