Percentage of devices using an IPv6 address versus an IPv4 address.

I have devices using a specific v4 address range and a specific v6 address range. I'd like to get the percent of devices using the v6 range so we can track the progress of the conversion. I'm new to Splunk so I'm not sure how to proceed.

It depends on what data you have in Splunk, or intend to ingest into Splunk.

What do your events look like (please share some anonymised / obfuscated, representative examples of what you are dealing with).

Also, is the v4 and v6 address range fixed, i.e. do you know what it is ahead of time?

How do you determine whether a device is "using" a v4 or v6 address?

Can a device use both?

Do you need to know an overall percentage (for a given time period) or do you need it broken down by, for example, days?

Please provide more detail about your usecase.
