Is it common behavior to have the embedded report url change after updating from 6.4 to 7.1?

Hi.

We recently updated to splunk enterprise 7.1 (from 6.4.0). After updating, external pages that included splunk embedded reports stopped rendering the reports.

Investigation showed that the embedded report URL in splunk changed after the update. This behavior is unfortunate because it means that we have to go and update external sites with embedded links as a result of this update.

Is this a common behavior that we should expect for other future updates?
