IP location not displaying city lat lon country etc

Hi all,

IP location is not displaying any of the fields it should return when used in search app. But the iplocation command is working in built apps like splunk app for aws and box app for splunk. But when i manually try to use iplocation command it does not return any. we are using splunk 6.4.2 . Attached screenshot for reference

This should work. Are you sure the two IP addresses in your screenshot have location information? Do you get results if you type them into the Maxmind Online demo?

Thanks for the response, but it shows an error : The IP address 'xx.xx.xx.xx' is a reserved IP address (private, multicast, etc.).

Well there you have it. Such IP addresses will not have location information in the MaxMind DB Splunk ships with and hence you don't see the expected fields.
Any public IP address should resolve properly.
