Splunk Search

Hunk search stalls and never finishes

Hello we are using Hunk and when we just run a query such as:
index=foo sourcetype=bar
we get the results easily

But when we run
index=food sourcetype=bar | stats count
the search will run, get the results and then just hangs and never finalizes. Has anyone ever experienced this?

Actually we figured it out. The ResourceManager was mapped to a different server than was in our Provider config on Hunk.

Hi. Can you enable debug in the indexes.conf and looked at the search.log for clues? Also look at the mapreduce logs.
