How to create a text search box where the characters (password) cannot be seen?

I would like to create a text search so a user can look for his or her own stats. There will be a drop-down with the user names. I want to add a text box so they can enter a password but, I don't want the password to be seen.

I don't think this option is available in Simple xml but I guess you can achieve this using Splunk Web Framework. There seems to be an option in the text box there to enter password (each typed character replace by asterisk
