How to create a drilldown on a timechart that, when clicked, opens another tab in the browser to view event details?

Hi,

I have a table that displays various data. If I click on a field in that table, it displays a panel that has a more specific timechart. If I click on the timechart it shows the events that make up that point on the timechart. All of this is working just fine.

What I'd like to do is on the timechart, when you click to see the actual events, instead of using the current browser window, I'd like it to instead create another tab in the browser with the events thereby preserving the dashboard. Otherwise you have to press the back button and wait for the dashboard to refresh (annoying).

Is this possible?

I'm guessing it is Ctrl+Click on a Windows Platform and Command+Click on a Mac, correct?
