How can I extract a license file from existing license volume

Hi,

I am trying to extract a license file from our current license pool. All I could see is the delete option for the license file.

Note: I don't have the copy of the license file on my local. If I do delete, then i would loose the file for good. Is there a way I can extract the license file from the existing license pool so that I can use the extracted file in a different license pool for a different indexer?

Thank you,
Divya

Look in $SPLUNK_HOME/etc/licenses. You should find all of your applied licenses there.

Hi Divya. How did it work? I'm preparing to re-install my Linux server group.

Am i correct that you just placeD the file Splunk.License.lic in $SPLUNK_HOME/etc/licenses/enterprise/ ... and boom, it worked ? 🙂

I too found the file (Splunk.License.lic). I hope it'll work when re-install my Linux server group 🙂 Thanks.
