Creating saved searches and custom dashboards with unique names across all apps

While creating a saved search or a custom dashboard through one of the apps, is there a way to make sure that the name of the search will be unique across all the apps? i.e. No two searches should have the same name even if they are created under different apps.

if you have a search or view with the permissions set to global, and you create a new search or view with the same name and change its permissions to global, Splunk will not let you do that and will show you an Error Message.

You can have all your apps with views and searches with global permissions, then it will be a matter of creating a custom Navigation Menu for each app.

I hope that helps
