Automatically updating dashboard from scheduled search

This must have been asked before, but I am having trouble finding an answer.

The scenario is we have a group of searches which run every minute, to give a single-value result, which can be presented on a Radial Gauge. The question is, how do I get the dashboard to update automatically and fetch the latest result?
