pre requirement hardware for installing splunk

Hi, I getting started with splunk and the pre requirement for it is ram 12 GB but my system is 8 GB, i need to help what way is better to install splunk, vm or docker or ... . thanks.

thanks a lot @scelikok, I'm not familiar with Bare Metal but I read about it.
my OS is windows and I have to install Linux OS on VM ware then install Bare metal, according to it what's your idea about it?
what is the advantage of bare metal over the docker or another clouding system?

Hi @szone,

Splunk Enterprise will work on 8GB too but performance depends on the daily data ingestion and search load.

Since you already short of the resources, I recommend bare metal installation on Linux OS.
