Hi,
Our Company is using Splunk Enterprise with 600GB/day for out SOC, and now we would lịke to use this license to extend for our new Private Cloud Managed SOC. Is it possible and legal with Splunk license term?
Splunk licenses are typically specific to the environment in which they were purchased. If your current license is for your on-premises SOC, it may not automatically cover usage in a private cloud environment.
I recommend reaching out to Splunk’s sales team directly. They can provide accurate information based on your specific situation. Explain your use case, data volume, and the transition to a private cloud. They’ll guide you on the necessary steps and any potential licensing adjustments.
Thanks for your recommendation.
As this relates to licensing and expansion - this is best discussed with your Splunk Sales Representative - you should have the Splunk contacts within your organisation.
Yah, I have discussion with Sale Prepresentative in local Vietnam and they said we dont need to pay more if we want to create new instance for our Private cloud because we purchased license type with capacity/day.
