Hi,
I have a Splunk Enterprise(8.1.0) account setup through my company. I am able to login to it online. But how do i set/install this Enterprise account onto my local system(Windows)?
I have pretty much used Splunk on the web so I am quite new on this setup/install part on my local machine
Hi @archanas
If i understand correctly you want to install Splunk in your local machine, you can not install company Splunk account/product in your local machine that's different set-up already company made it in their own host(s).
You company splunk account can only be accessed through web interface that's a company specific.
You can download Splunk Enterprise free version (8.x) from here -Free Splunk Trial | Download Splunk Enterprise Free for 60 Days | Splunk windows version and follow the instructions. After installation if everything goes well you can access your local splunk here - http://127.0.0.1:8000/ OR http://localhost:8000/ which will be redirect to login page, Enter username/password that you have set during the installation process. All done.
Read Splunk docs after installation about what you wanted to achieve using Splunk.
