Unfortunately only an admin can unlock an account after too many authentication failures have caused it to lock (https://help.splunk.com/en/splunk-enterprise/administer/manage-users-and-security/9.3/manage-credent...)
I would suggest emailing education team at education@splunk.com regarding your lab, or chck out https://www.splunk.com/en_us/training/platform-assistance.html
