Is there documentation about splunk deployers?

is there a way to check whether my splunk deployer and deployment server is working fine ? 

splunk documentation would be highly appreciated.

@super_saiyan Hello,

The forwarder management pages in your Deployment Server's Web Interface allow you to check if add-ons / apps were deployed successfully.

Apart from that you can also check the splunkd.log for the respective client, to see if it successfully downloaded and installed the app.
