Increase in Kinesis Shard not picked by Splunk Connector

We have Enterprise Splunk, connected via Kinesis Stream. We had made online change to increase the no. of shards from 1 to 3 however Splunk Connector is not failed to pick data. Why?

Do I require to restart the connector?
