I downloaded a 60 day free trial version of Splunk Enterprise on Friday to use as part of training class. Things worked well on Friday. But I cannot login to the account this morning.
Any help would be appreciated.

I don't think I can re-set the password in Udemy. So I will try using your CLI instructions. Need to focus on something else for the next few hours. But will try your approach this afternoon.

let me understand: you cannot access the web session or it doesn't start?
if it doesn't start, check the Splunk status by CLI using the command, maybe it didn't start
$SPLUNK_HOME/splunk status
if you have the login page, but you canot acces, check the account and password you used.
If instead you can access but your searches doesn't run, check if you're in violation (see messages).

I set up the Splunk instance before I created a business account with Udemy. I started having login problems after I started working on the Udemy course using my company's corporate Udemy account.

otherwise, if you can access to the Splunk Server by CLI follow these steps:
