Dashboard Discrepancy in Cisco Cyber Vision Splunk Add-on (Self-Guided vs Real Deployment)

Hello,

I hope this message finds you well.
I am writing to ask a question after reading your blog post,
“Seamless IT/OT Security: A Hands-On Look at the Cisco Cyber Vision Splunk Add-on.”

I followed the setup based on the content in the blog and installed the following components:

  1. Splunk Enterprise 10.0.x

  2. Splunk Apps/Add-ons

    • OT Security Add-on for Splunk v2.3.3

    • Cisco Cyber Vision Splunk Add-on v2.1.0

    • Cisco Cyber Vision Splunk App v2.1.0

Question:
I noticed that the dashboard menus shown in the self-guided environment differ from the dashboards and menus that appear after performing the actual installation in my Splunk environment.
< Self-Guided >

< Real Deployment >

Could you please clarify why there is a difference between:

  • the dashboards visible in the self-guided/demo environment, and

  • the dashboards available after installing the apps directly in Splunk?

Any explanation regarding version differences, data requirements, configuration steps, or licensing dependencies would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much for your insightful blog and for your time.

Best regards
