Requires license feature='Auth' now showing up after upgrading from Spunk Enterprise from 9.4.3 to 10.0.0. I had the perpetual free license on 9.4.3 and the feature was working fine then.

Splunk 10.0.0 introduced several changes, managing apps (which requires authentication/authorization capabilities) now requires an active license that includes this feature.

If you want to use these features in Splunk 10, you’ll need to either buy or upgrade your license, or you can ask for a dev license.

Where do I get a DEV license? I ran into the same issue with my upgraded Splunk Enterprise Free installation from 9.4.3 to 10.0.1.

Thank you and kind Regards

Hello,

Please see the below link:

https://dev.splunk.com/developer-program/

You will need to join the Splunk developer program and then there is a link on your dashboard that lets you request a license.  Licenses, once approved, are sent to your email address.

The license process usually takes 1-3 days in my experience.  You’ll need to renew once every 6 months.

Hope that Helps!

Thank you. I registered my account to the developer program now but the license request doesn't work. After a little while I get this message:

Any idea, why this doesn't work?

Thank you and kind Regards
