but as @adonio mentions a lot depends on a lot of answers to environment specific questions. For example, why are you wanting to uninstall? What is your current state and your expected end state? Is this a production system? If so what will fulfill these functions for your business? If you're migrating to a different product as a SIEM what will your transition strategy be, and how do you maintain continuity for your analysts? If it was just a trial system with test data only, then that becomes much easier... delete Splunk install directory, wipe folders, done... If you don't care about the data center still standing and possibly war crimes, well see picture above 😄

regardless of the business functions and analysts, are there steps to uninstall splunk enterprise security suite without starting the splunk install from scratch?
