I have seen this error with corrupt installations (typically caused by extracting or manipulating suite contents on OSX). This is also commonly associated with "._" files/folders...Your ammap_settings.xml file should hash to 7f0c817b3a6220649812c212d9384db4. If you are still having issues please let us know.
