Prerequisites for Administering ES 5.2

The prerequisites for Administering ES 5.2 are vague.

Is the prerequisite completing the two courses Splunk System Administration and Splunk Data Administration, or is it passing the Splunk Enterprise Certification?

The courses are required prerequisites, but the certification exam is not.
