When i tried to edit dashboard-->click on 'Schedule PDF delivery'-->'Send Test Email' then it is processed and email with the message belows is triggered.

An error occurred while generating the PDF. Please see python.log for details.

To analyze python.log, I need to know where the python.log resides for this app in splunk_home folder?

"/splunkforwarder/var/log/splunk.. "

Splunk universal forwarders do not have python, thus no python log. You should be looking on the search head, not the forwarder.

As long as you've properly setup internal log forwarding as per best practices... this search will show the python logs.

index=_internal sourcetype=splunk_python
