Unable to run examples

I'm watching this video and following everything that this guy is doing. However I am unable to run the examples like he does in the video. I am getting jquery.min.js:4 Failed to load file:///D:/proxy/services/auth/login?output_mode=json: in the dev console. I have changed the credentials to my user and password, tried using ports 8089 as well as 8000, tried using both http and https.

Also for future reference, I want to input query from an external app into splunk and export the result as graph in my app, is normal search the way to go?

@synxcriptz could you also add as to which video are you referring to and the context as to what you are attempting to perform in Splunk?

@niketnilay I tried posting the link on my question but it does not allow me to do so since this is a relatively new account. Here is the link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vYPxfGkZr04&t=174s However, I have already solved the issue. cheers

@synxcriptz that is great to hear. For the interest of the community if you can post an answer with what went wrong and how you fixed it, that would be great and will help others who run into similar issue. You can accept your own answer to mark this question as answered.
