Unable to open Splunk Enterprise on local Windows machine

Hii experts

im facing problem regarding splunk enterprise unable to open showing window localhost:8000 Application not found,i had unintalled it and installed back i dont find any change same window application not found localhost:8000,i'm using it on windows 7

Is the application actually running? Check windows services for the splunk service.
Did you configure it to use ssl instead? try putting https:// in front.
Make sure you are using the right port. In task manager, change it to display the "PID" column as well. Take note of the splunk PID.
In an admin command prompt, type "netstat -ano" and look for your splunk PID. It should show listening, and on port 8000. If the port is different, try that one instead.
