How to install splunk app in remote splunk using Splunk REST API

mini
Engager

I have installed the app in the local splunk using the Splunk REST API endpoint

https://<host>:<port>/services/apps/local

but when I tried to install the app in remote splunk .It gave error like

"Cannot perform action "POST" without a target name to act on"
 or "Unparsable URI-encoded request data"

I included the name(.tar or .spl file) and filename like how it is mention in the splunk docs

Using this endpoint .I can create the app in remote splunk but I want to upload the app

I tried with requests module and postman. The same error came

is there any way to install the app in the remote splunk using postman or requests?

Thank you in advance...

Well, debugging the web upload process I get a POST action to

https://splunk.server/en-GB/manager/appinstall/_upload

But I doubt that it's the official blessed way to do it on your own.
The API though, indeed states that you either create an app instance with a path to a local file (to which of course the splunkd process must have access) or an URL or application name from Splunkbase.
