Error connecting via java sdk after upgrading to splunk 8.0.0

After upgrading to 8.0.0 I started to get the following error when trying to connect using java sdk 1.6.5:

Have you opened a support case for this? If there is an actual defect in 8.0 that is causing this issue, they can file it with the engineering team.
