Is there an Initial Time Range and Checkpoint Value from EventHub Input?

Does anyone happen to know if there is a default time range from eventhub input from Splunk Add-on for Microsoft Cloud Services and where the checkpoint value is stored?  I am unable to find out the information from https://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/AddOns/released/MSCloudServices/Configureeventhubs.
