Deleted a node by mistake from Tier & Nodes dashboard, now it doesn't show up on the Agents page

We installed a java agent 4.4.3 on a app server and it succesfully registered and showed on the Agents and under Tier & Nodes page.

However later we realised the node name needs to be updated and in the process my mistake we delete the node from the Tier & Node page, thinking it will still be there.

The agent (node) has now dissapered from the Agents adminsitration page.

How can the agent re-register itself again, does  the jvm need a restart or any config change required??

Hi

When did you delete the node? If it is not more than 500 hours, you can try reporting it again to the controller as node deletion period has not been expired. (default node.retention.period=500hrs)

Please go through below documentation for more information.

https://docs.appdynamics.com/display/PRO45/Historical+and+Disconnected+Nodes

Thanks,

Yogesh
