mitigation for http://www.splunk.com/view/SP-CAAAH76#announce1 in versin 5.0.4

Is there any mitigation for above splunk vulnerablity in version 5.0.4 ...ie cant upgrade to latest version in a jiffy as have lot of apps and distribution

Any specifics appreciated!

If an upgrade is out of the picture for some reason, you should open a case with Splunk Technical support for specific recommendations about how to proceed.
