ERROR WIth ProcessDispatchedSearch - PROCESS_SEARCH "XXX": The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.

Hello All

We are having a very hard time to clear the type of error in our Splunkd logs . We are having this issue continuously over a particular machine. Can anyone please help me If someone had seen or resolved the above issue.

Appears to be a known issue. I have about 10,000 of these errors in a week's time:

Error "The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process" in splunkd.log in reference to dispatch search.log. Error does not affect search. (SPL-82288)
