Can someone explain all things a user can do with the edit_tcp capability other than add data to an index via REST API?

I have learned from other posters that the only capability needed to add data to an index via the REST API is edit_tcp. This is great, however, I want to know what other things a user can do with those permissions. We want to enable the ability to push applications logs directly via the API, but we lack an understanding of what kinds of permissions we are granting users with edit_tcp. Can anyone help answer this question as the documentation is either extremely hard to find or doesn't exist.

Thanks!
