Are there any other configurations to be done for running Splunk web off a different folder?

I configured $splunk/etc/system/local/web.conf with the following line in it: root_endpoint = /splunk

Most of Splunk runs correctly off http://myhost:8000/splunk, but the following two files seem to be requesting from the root path instead. (looking at error logs)

  1. /util/time/parser

  2. /static/img/skins/default/mag_glass_icon.png

Is there any configuration that I've missed out?

No, your configuration is correct - It appears a small bug is causing those requests not to be handled correctly; I'll make sure it's addressed ASAP - Thanks for letting us know!
