Hi,

I am tryint to open SPLUNK through browser as follows :

1. http://localhost:8000/en-US/account/login?return_to=%2Fen-US%2Fapp%2Fsearch%2Fflashtimeline_excel

2. http://localhost:8000/en-US/account/login?return_to=%2Fen-US%2F

But I am getting the following error in the loging screen :

© 2005-2012 Splunk Inc. Splunk UNKNOWN_VERSION build 000

and When I am giving username and password it is not allowing me to loging and throwing some error

Can yoiu please help me out to solve this problem :

It's because splunkd process is down or is stuck.
Restart the splunkd or check splunkd.log for errors.
