right now Splunk sends pdf reports named splunk-report.pdf. we'd like to change them so they include the date and possibly the topic of the report. is this possible? how?
Unfortunately it's not possible in the current version of Splunk without modifying code

In splunk 4.3.1, the sendemail.py script updates the filename with the timestamp. see line 528 filename = '%s-%s.pdf' % (pdfviewfn[:50], datestamp)
It's hard-coded. I changed the report-name in sendemail.py file.
I checked report.py file, but I couldn't find a way to change the name. Is it hard-coded?
splunk code ? can we modify following file and get it do change report-name to include date/report title to what's generated?
