Splunk insists that i schedule a saved search

When i install 4.1.5 build 86165 into a server as an indexer collecting logs from a firewall. I cannot save a search without scheduling a time for it to be run. I tried it out on my other test systems and i found that i can just save the searches without having to do any scheduling. Can anyone pls help?

what happens when you try? Does it let you submit the form and then give a red error message or does it not even let you submit the form?

I've seen some strange behavior between different browser versions. Have you tried Firefox or Safari (I'm assuming you might be using IE).

Yes i'm using IE on that particular machine. I haven't tried using Safari or firefox yet. i don't have admin rights to install but will try to stowaway a portable one to try it out and let you know.
