Splunk dashboard schedule pdf delivery grayed out

When i go to edit -> schedule pdf delivery. it is grayed out, I have a time picker set for last month and no real time searches on the dashboard. i also have full admin rights in splunk. what would cause this?

You cannot schedule dashboards with inputs.
