Was very excited for the v8 font revealed at .Conf19! Is this font downloadable? I wanted to write some documentation for team training, and use that font for the SPL in the training. I looked in Github, and at the woff files in the v8 directories (didn't immediately recognize it when I went through those). Can someone tell me more about this font, like it's name, and where we can get it? 🙂
It is called Splunk Data Sans, and it is not externally available at this time. The UX team is preparing to release its design system, and my understanding is that there will be a version of this font available through that. I am not answering this question in any official capacity, just based on a conversation I had with the UX team at their booth at .conf. I have spoken with several other people who had similar questions. I will ping the UX team about it and see if they want to add a clarifying comment here.

Appreciate the engagement. Thanks @ChrisG. I'll wait and see.
Hello @efavreau,
I work on behalf of the Design Systems team here at Splunk> and have been working on the Splunk Data Sans font. There will be a public announcement on the release of the font in the future. Rest assured the font will be accessible in the products it has been implemented in. For example, you can start to see Splunk Data Sans on splunk.com and Splunk Investigate.
All the best and thank you for your question!
Thanks @ChrisG
