reindex the log files into new index

i created new index and I want to load log files into that index. these files were previously indexed to another index.

You can change the name of an index by shutting down the indexer and changing the indexes.conf and renaming the directory (yes, it really is that easy).

Maybe you can rename the index? at Is it possible to change an index name?
