Monitoring Splunk

Is there a dynamic way to monitor and measure load average similar to the one which comes when command 'uptime' is run on Linux system

Currently for a Linux system we are measuring CPU Load average which is not a very effective matrix for measuring if some issue is coming on the system
Most of the time it is false positive.
SO we want to change the monitoring and measure load average similar to the one which comes when command 'uptime' is run on Linux system
