Error updating saved search dhcpd_alert_new_mac_address_15m

I'm trying to make this search not email out (to example.com) so I've gone into the searches and reports and have unticked the "Send email" box. Upon a save attempt I get this error at the top of the screen:

A quick google pointed me to http://answers.splunk.com/questions/1391/error-while-modifying-splunk-for-bluecoat-dashboard-search where someone claims the 'workaround' fixed their issue.
