I've recently updated Chrome to version 18, and find that my CPU spikes to 100% when I navigate particular areas of the splunk 4.3.1 UI. While the UI still responds (slowly), it usually results in killing the browser to alleviate the high CPU. This did not seem to happen before in my previous versions of Chrome, so I wanted reach out to determine if anyone else is experiencing the same behavior.
I also find it interesting to note, chrome demonstrates the same problem on my Ubuntu 10, OS X, and Windows clients as well.
This is a known issue and has been logged in known issues at this link:

An issue with the Highcharts library used in Chrome version 18.x causes dashboards to crash when hovering over a point on a line graph. Current workaround is to use another supported browser. (SPL-49700)
The fix will be provided in 4.3.2, nothing is available for 4.3.1 presently. Hope this helps!
